I just wanted to acknowledge the practical use of self, or, as I did last Saturday, that part of my &quot;public identity&quot; that allowed me to renew my driver&#039;s license, picture and all!
It&#039;s not me (nor is the no doubt lovely digital photo...) but all of that &quot;identification&quot; did happen. So, we might acknowledge it, with a smile and wink!
