Corporate Training Services - A Case Study

continued

corporate training, transpersonal approach, lateral thinking

The Phoenix Centre entered into a "Coach and Mentor" relationship with the Loss Prevention Department of a major Canadian Retailer. Wayne C. Allen, psychotherapist, consultant and seminar leader, began an intensive training cycle with the members of the department.

Objectives

  • to teach the department members to think laterally,
  • to find more efficient and more empowered ways of doing their jobs, and
  • to seek nothing less than wholeness in all areas of their lives.

Methodology

The team was trained to use excellent communication skills. This led to team members not only listening to each other, but acting as mentors to each other. Several lateral thinking models were taught, each using actual work situations. By the end of the training sessions, the team had developed concrete plans for the implementation of change. Soon, the L.P. Team was in the field, creating growthful change in the stores.

A two day retreat focused, again, on communication, but with an added focus on all areas of the lives of the team members. The changes developed at work were implemented at home, and in social situations.

Outcome

The Department has met or exceeded every goal either it or the company has set. In the process, the members of the department have become more relaxed, focused and in charge of their lives, both professionally and personally. Working relationships have improved, productivity has increased, all without burnout or casualties.
Through custom designed seminars, two and three day retreats and personal "coaching," Wayne has facilitated profound change change that was singled out by the company as an example for the rest of the organization to emulate.

People matter, and motivating people is our most important work.

The Phoenix Centre was founded to promote wholeness, joyful living and focused attention.

"Wayne Allen's presentations are electrifying, stimulating . . . and most of all, practical."

The quality of life is measured in intangibles . . . harmony, peace, understanding, grace.

We are available. We encourage our clients to call when they reach a point of non-clarity. Our lateral thinking approach, coupled with Wayne's background as a psychotherapist (in private practice since 1982) combine to allow us to make suggestions that lead to breakthroughs.

We would like to work with your department or company. We can begin this process with your call or letter.
