Madonna never ceases to amaze. This album is a brilliant dance album, tracks blending into a torrent of passion. December 2005
Santana's November 2005 masterpiece. Great tunes and collaboration. |
Santana is my favourite guitar player - his music is
infectious, and his collaborations spot-on. An amazing follow-up album to
"Supernatural."
Theresa Sokyrka came in second in 2004's Canadian Idol contest. She
has an amazing voice and sings scat jazz! Check out this album!
Moby's newest album is excellent. I've been listening to it
regularly since downloading it. Check it out!

Los Lonely Boys - hot off their Grammy win for their song, "Heaven," Los Lonely
Boys are an exceptional band. The guitar sounds are similar to Carlos Santana,
and the mood is Latin, upbeat and deep.

Sarah Slean: Recorded in Toronto over a five month period with Prilesnik
and Kurtz, Day One is Slean's wisest and best-realized record to date. Ranging
from the torch light moodiness of opener "Pilgrim" and the cabaret-noir of "The
Score" to the stunning balladry of "California" and the up-tempo pop of the
album's title track, Day One communicates its central themes of ruin and rebirth
while still retaining a sense of optimism and playfulness.

Matt Dusk: We attended a concert and fell in love with an amazing guy
with a voice as rich as Sinatra's. This album is a knockout!
Matt Dusk: This is one of the best Christmas albums ever! It's a short
album, but Matt's recording of "Silent Night" alone makes the
album worthwhile.
Kelly Clarkson: Well, with feet of lead, she'll never be a dancer. But
what a set of... pipes. I caught the recent video of "Since U Been Gone," and
grabbed the rest of the disk. Amazing, fun music.
Joss Stone: With the looks of Brittney and the pipes of Aretha, this
16-year-old Brit is the next big thing in R&B. A must have album.
Dixie Chicks: in addition to being eye candy, the Chicks really
sing well, and "Home" is an excellent start. I'm especially taken
with the track, "Top of the World," a poignant social commentary on
dysfunctional families.
Seal 4: After a five-year lay-off, the London singer makes a robust return with his fourth album. The most surprising development is the occasional nod to old-school R&B, but there is lots of the soaring balladry that made the singer famous.

In our Bodywork web section, I make reference to Alannah
Myles' song,
"Black Velvet"
as a key tune for developing flexibility through dance. This is a great
rock album, and several of the tracks are amazing. Plus, she's Canadian!!!

When we do chakra work, this is the CD we turn to. There is a 7 minute piece of
music for each chakra. Give it a try!

Carlos Santana's great CD, incredible guitar work, good dance tunes.
Sophie B. Hawkins can sing! Bluesy, rocky, interesting, and "Damn, I Wish I was Your Lover"
is a GREAT track.
Damn, this is a fine album! Macy Gray's excellent album On How Life Is. Check out
"I Try."
I'm playing it cranked at this very moment!
India Aire's breakout album, filled with incredible tunes and soulful
lyrics.

One of the top guitarists in the world, Eric Clapton's new album is a
rocker's dream. And, if you're going through something right now and are looking for a "release," methinks
the track, "River of Tears" might help.
That's a "music as Bodywork" hint.
